Discover his story
Hello, my name is Jérémi*, and I’m 3 years old. I’m a little boy who faces several health challenges.
I face several developmental issues. I have cerebral palsy that affects all four of my limbs, resulting in significant mobility limitations. I cannot walk or sit up on my own, and I need assistance with all my movements. I currently use a specially adapted stroller, and a standing frame is planned to help me maintain better posture.
I also have a hearing impairment (I wear hearing aids) and a visual impairment, which is corrected by wearing glasses. My overall development is comparable to that of a 4-month-old baby.
I live with autism spectrum disorder (Level 3) and a severe intellectual disability. As a result, my communication abilities are very limited, and I need a stable, predictable, and reassuring environment.
I recently experienced an anaphylactic reaction, but the cause has not yet been identified. There are also signs that suggest I may have diabetes, and I am scheduled to be evaluated by an endocrinologist soon.
I see my mom twice a week. This connection is maintained and is part of my life balance.
I am currently looking for a long-term family. I need a structured, stable, and safe living environment with adults who are available, patient, and caring. My family will need to be able to meet my complex needs—both medical and developmental—and work closely with the professionals who support me on a daily basis.
Could that be you?
Jérémi* deserves to find his place. At the Association Emmanuel, our goal is to find him a family for life.
