Mathis* is a sweet, smiling 4-year-old boy.
Discover his story
Hello, my name is Mathis*. I’m a 4-year-old boy with a charming smile and a gentle personality. I live with cerebral palsy, which means I need various types of equipment and adapted support to help me with mobility, posture, and many aspects of my daily life. Despite the challenges life has put in my path, I continue to discover the world in my own way, with curiosity and courage.
I communicate mainly through eye contact, sounds, gestures, and sometimes by pointing at pictures or objects. I’m also exploring the use of an iPad to better express my needs and preferences. I enjoy choosing my toys, my clothes, and taking part in my daily routines. In the future, I might also start trying out a motorized wheelchair so I can explore my surroundings with greater independence.
The adults who care for me support me with great patience and kindness to encourage my development and foster my independence. I love trying new foods and enjoying their flavors!
My grandparents play a very important role in my life. I see them regularly, and these meaningful connections are precious to me and contribute to my sense of security and attachment.
Today, I’m looking for a loving, attentive, and dedicated family—one that’s ready to provide me with a stable and supportive environment where I can grow and thrive at my own pace. What if that family were yours?
Mathis* deserves to find his place. At the Association Emmanuel, our goal is to find him a family for life.
